Peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital with family by her side, on Thursday, January 19th, 2012 of Phyllis Kathleen MacIntyre, of Whisperwood Villa and formerly of Mount Stewart, in her 80th year.
Beloved wife of 56 years to Abby, loving mother of Kevin and his wife Jenny, and wonderful and caring grandmother to Jason, Shawn (Allison), and Jodi Gray (Bryan).
She will also be lovingly remembered by her great grandchildren, Bryce and Emma Gray, and Brayden and Nolan MacIntyre.
Phyllis will be sadly missed by her sisters-in-law, Shirley Murphy (the late Conn), Elizabeth Murphy (the late Clarence), Eileen Murphy (the late Elmer), Kay MacIntyre (the late Cy), Joan Lund (Eddie) and Neta Fleming (Jim), and brother-in-law Buddy MacIntyre (Jane). She will also be remembered by numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents Temple and Florence Murphy, her brothers Clarence, Charl, Conn, and Elmer, and by her sister Bernice Anderson.
Resting at the Hennessey Funeral Home until 1:20 pm on Monday, Jan 23rd, and then transferred to St Andrew’s Parish Church, Mount Stewart for funeral mass at 2:00 pm. Interment to follow in St Andrew’s Parish Cemetery.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday 3:00 to 7:00 p.m.
If so desired, memorials in Phyllis’ memory can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society, the Arthritis Society, or to the St Andrew’s Cemetery Fund.
