The death occurred peacefully at the Garden Home, Charlottetown on Friday, January 13, 2012 of Mary Caroline “Carrie” Burt (nee Myers) formerly of York and Covehead.
Last surviving member of the William and Catherine (nee Veno) Myers family.
Wife of the late Frank Burt and partner of the late Harold “Baldy” Gallant.
Left to mourn the memory of a loving mother are Frances MacLure (John), Irene Burt, Everett Burt (Jenny), Don Burt (Jen), Oshawa, and Cathy Burt, eleven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Predeceased by her sisters Maida Gomache, Irene Maye and Kathleen (Kay) Burt and by her brothers Charlie O’Brien, Bernie O’Brien, Irving, Alfred, John, Joseph, and Bernard Myers and special nephew Fenner Myers.
Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home until Thursday at 10:00 a.m. then to St. Eugene’s Church, Covehead for funeral mass at 10:30a.m. Interment later in St. Eugene’s Parish Cemetery.
Visitation Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9p.m.
Memorial donations may be made to Camp Gencheff or St. Eugene’s Cemetery.
Due to family allergies please refrain from wearing scents.
