At the Dr. John Gillis Memorial Lodge in Eldon on Sunday, December 18, 2011, Vernon Webster Penny of Murray Harbour, age 83 years, passed away peacefully with his family by his side singing his favourite songs.
Beloved husband to Shirley Margaret Penny (nee Dennis), formerly of Marshfield, PEI.
Beloved father of Valerie (John), James (Donna), Susan (Cecil), Rosalie (Leo), Joyce, Faye (Chris), Sheila (Mike).
Loving grandfather to John A, Natalee, Karen, Julee, Harry, Tanya, Keri, Cheryl, David, Jennifer, Allan, Heather, Rebecca, Brad, Krista-Lee, and Dawson.
Great grandfather to Tory, Claire, Charlotte, Ryan, Ben, Isadora, Jonathan, Sam, Evelyn, Parker, Markus, Kayden and Meika.
Pre-deceased by brother Curtis Penny and sister Clara Buell, father, James Robert Penny and mother, Sadie Hume.
Resting at Ferguson’s Montague Funeral Home from where the service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. Interment later.
Visitation: Tuesday 6-8 p.m. only. If so desired, memorials to the Dr. John M. Gillis Memorial Lodge would be appreciated.
