Peacefully and surrounded by his loving family at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Wednesday, April 28, 2010 of Wilfred Jay of Stratford, age 69Yrs.
Beloved husband of Judy Jay (nee Nelson) and loving father of Wayne Jay (Deborah) and Wendy Duffy (David).
Wilf was the loving Poppy of Nicholas Jay (Kelsey) and Jillian, Rebecca and Madeline Duffy. He is also survived by his brother – Everett Jay (Florence); sisters – Alice Dunn (Tom – deceased), Laura Arsenault (Eddy) and Edna Birt (Ira – deceased); sister-in-law – Iva Jay; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents John and Grace Jay, brothers – Howard, Gordon and Walter (Pearl – deceased); and sister Jean Birt (Alden – deceased).
Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, 2 Hollis Ave., Stratford for visitation on Friday, April 30, 2:00 – 4:00 P.M. and 7:00 – 9:00 P.M.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 1 at Stratford Chapel, Hillsboro Funeral Home at 10:00 A.M. Interment will follow at Mt. Stewart People’s Cemetery.
As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to Mt. Stewart People’s Cemetery or to the PEI Cancer Treatment Centre would be appreciated.
